Our ethical policy:

We write and/or edit academic material only with the written and confirmed permission of a professor, dean, or other institutional official on letterhead stationary.

Our privacy policy:

  • We do not divulge anything about the work we do for you (or even that you (or your firm) are a client) to anyone outside the Corporation without your explicit instructions and directions to do so. Furthermore, only corporate personnel with a valid need to know have access to your work.

  • We do not sell, rent, lend, or otherwise disseminate your name, e-mail address, or any other information about you or your work to anyone outside the Corporation. We do not spam our clients or send your computer cookies.

  • We will not use your personal,  business, or corporate name for our Client List without your specific written permission. 

  • We will be happy to sign a confidentiality agreement prepared by your attorney.

Our employment Policy:

Though we are quite busy these days, we are not and will not be seeking full-time applicants in the next six months.

We occasionally hire specialist writers, editors, illustrators, and photographers on and only on an  independent contractor (as defined by the IRS) basis. Work products may be "work for hire" as defined by Federal copyright law if demanded by our clients (we don't like this either) -- we let you know before a project is agreed upon.

On the very few occasions we hire independent contractors, we almost always seek individuals living and working in the greater Washington, DC area who have several years of demonstrated experience in their fields.

If you are interested in having your credentials on file with us, please send them to Sam Blate Associates LLC, ATTN: Sam Blate, President, 10331 Watkins Mill Dr., Montgomery Village, MD 20886-3950. (No originals, please, and with SASE for return) You may first wish to contact us before submitting your credentials. We'll keep materials for a year and discard them unless other arrangements are made.

Our nondiscrimination policy:
